“Having a mentor, a person outside the juvenile
system to spend time with and talk to, shows these troubled youth that they
are not outcasts: that the community cares about them.”
—The Honorable Ann Aiken, Federal District Court Judge

All
of CPY-BBBS programs foster positive change in youths’ lives.
Youth are matched with caring volunteer adults who are trained to focus on trust-building and the achievement of goals, by engaging youth in one-on-one outings and adventures in the community.
THE BOLDER OPTIONS PROGRAM
A running program where male mentors foster positive changes in the lives of
adolescent boys involved in the juvenile court system through goal setting, self-discipline
and athletic skill development.
THE TRUE FRIENDS PROGRAM AND THE AMCP PROGRAM
Targets children between the ages of 6-17 impacted by incarceration. Impacted by incarceration is defines as: youth who have been or are currently incarcerated or in a juvenile detention facility; youth who have a parent, primary caregiver or immediate family member currently or previously incarcerated; and youth living in a neighborhood with higher-than-average rates of incarceration.
